If you need to add additional columns to the List view when working in the TYPO3 backend, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the List view in the left column
  2. Center column click on the folder below the "Data" folder where you need to work.
  3. If there is more than one table displayed (shows, episodes, etc.), click on the table name. This will switch you into single table mode, where only the one table will display.
  4. When the page on the right refreshes, scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
  5. At the bottom of the page, there is a list of fields. Here select the fields you would like to display as a column. Hold down the control key to muli-select.
  6. When all fields are added, click on Set fields button
  7. When the screen refreshes, the new fields should appear as columns in the list.
  8. Adjust the fields as needed.

If you need to export the information to work on it locally, do the following:

  1. Follow the above steps to add in any additional columns needed for the export.
  2. Once all the required fields are added, find the icon at the top of the page to export the records in CSV format. Click on the icon to download the records in CSV format
  3. The system will generate a CSV file of the records for download. Save these records in a folder in your system.
  4. !! The text fields may need to be changed by you to UTF-8 in order for some text to properly display. This is true with many foreign language characters. For Windows Excel import, the first import step offers a text conversion. In the list, look down near the bottom for a UTF-8 format in the list and select that. This should convert the text to the proper characters for most lanuages.
