The Features stored in TYPO3 are used to display three major sections of content on the pages for the Website. Features consist of Slides, Stories and Sidebar types.
Slides are located at the top of a webpage and span the entire width of the page. Stories are located at the bottom-left of a webpage and are contained in the Main column only, thus they do not span the entire width of the page. Sidebars are displayed in the "Sidebar" of a webpage, this begins slightly under the Slide section and runs down the right-hand side of the webpage.
All three types of Features, for the most part, have the same properties. The sections on Adding Features will provide further details as to which properties apply to each type of Feature. Additionally this section will provide information over differences between the Feature types, for example if an image is displayed in a different location on a particular Feature.
To create, edit or delete Features for the website, the user must log into the TYPO3 backend. The management operations of the website are done through the Backend Interface provided by the TYPO3 content management system. Please login with the user credentials provided to you, in order to complete any of the actions you wish to perform.
In order to login in the Backend Interface, you have to open the following link in your browser: http://www.adventist.org/typo3/ and type in your username and password.

In the same region of the webpage are other webpage elements, these additional elements overlap the Slide. Therefore, please do not confuse a Slide with other elements in the same region of the page. All elements listed above will be displayed on the screenshots below, any element not tagged in the screenshots is not an element of a Slide Feature.
Please note that all features below are not contained in a single screen shot. Due to spacing constraints and the choices by the designer, all of the elements may not be used. If all elements are used, it is possbile due to layout constraints, that some elements are pushed outside of the viewable boundries of the Feature. Please refer to the red arrow markers and the numbered list of Feature elements above:
