Tipps for video conversion

This sections provides you tipps & tricks for improving the quality of the videos.

  • Do not forget the deinterlacing process (combining of odd and even lines of one frame). For detailed information, please visit the Wikipedia page.
  • Remove the black border by cropping the video and taking care of the desired aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) for the final video.
  • Take care not to stretch or shrink the video image. Keep the original proportions. The best method to change the aspect ratio is to crop the video and not to stretch it or to shrink it.
  • We would recommend to use the H264 codec (resulting in .m4v or .mp4 file extensions) in the compression process, as in our experience, it offers the best compromise between file size and quality.
